This. Is. Awesome.

The current, predominant bitcoin logo — that tilted (wtf?) ‘B’ — literally looks like magic internet money. Who would take that seriously? I didn’t. I recall when I had my first “What is bitcoin?” thought:

I was in New York and saw a “Bitcoin Accepted Here” sign. It featured the tilted B. My first impression: Bitcoin was a company — another PayPal, perhaps — pitching their own loyalty token. It took a couple of months of many mental leaps and personal discoveries before I saw Bitcoin for what it really was. Here I am, four years later, and Bitcoin still is viewed by my friends and family, by and large, as “magic internet money”. The current branding does not help.

Thank you for your contributions! I look forward to adding my own thoughts in the coming weeks.
